Born from a Love of Dance
Sassafras Dance Group was founded in August 2024 by Melanie Capps and Dixie Stevens with a mission to inspire joy and passion for movement — and to celebrate dance at every stage of life.
Based in Dallas, TX, Sassafras gives women who love to dance and perform a platform to express their passion and to keep on thriving and jiving, no matter their age.
From high-energy performances to elegant productions, we bring artistry, heart, and a whole lot of fun to every stage we step on.
